My art for last night was accidental birthday fan art of Drift the Frog. I was drawing my brother’s favorite animal crossing character when I found his birthday in some reference art which low and behold was literally yesterday. Freaky right?
I too should be returning to dreamland.. I saw some Kirby on my dash and I thought that would be a satisfying change of pace from drawing realism. I went over it to make sure it looks super pretty like my other art! P.S. Kirby is one of my favorite video game characters as he is the reason I love co-op games☆
Not sure if it’s because it is a drawing of me, or because it is genuinely a bad drawing but I don’t like the way it turned out.. It didn’t convey the expression my avatar has, but practice is practice so I can’t complain /too/ much. Also I’m starting to realize how big a pain it is to draw glasses***
I really have to thank CGR/LordKarnage for the inspiration to try drawing so much.
I always thought some people were naturally good drawers and although that is true there is an even larger portion of people that are good artists from drawing a lot, it’s just you didn’t see them struggle through being bad at art.
Sure, CGR didnt directly motivate me but I was watching them make their comicbook and it really inspired me to “git gud”!
For my next drawing I drew @thekuthinator’s avatar! I am so fucking proud of that mouth like damn. I know I misplaced a lot of things, and with the hand I just had the mentality that if I cluttered it with enough mess it would be unrecognizable. That stuff aside, is this picture really that old? Look at the nose ring! (p.s. I was too proud of the way I conveyed her expression to not make a little comic out of it)
I continued drawing and now I’ve made a cute boo to cheer up my mood.
Making really shitty art sure does ease my nerves.
I kind of want to draw my cat for a quick change of pace for my drawing tonight, but, on the other hand, they are an entirely different thing and I wouldn’t even know where to start…
